Housetraining

You need to train your puppy that the right place to go to the toilet is outside, not in the house. This can be frustrating at first, particularly as some puppies get the hang of what to do a lot quicker than others!

So start by taking your puppy out when they’ve just woken up, when they’ve just had a meal, and about every hour during the day if possible. Go outside with them, encourage them to go to the toilet, using whichever word you’ve decided upon, stay with them, and then praise and reward them when they go to the toilet. If your puppy has an accident in the house, don’t say anything to them, but just clean it up and carry on as normal.
